Gifts galore! Windblown 's new update revamps the gifting system for all players.
Plus, it adds two new weapons and offers a 20% discount on Steam for the Summer Sale starting June 26th.
Mexico City, June 25, 2025 — Windblown received a new Early Access update today, bringing multiple improvements and tweaks to the fast-paced action roguelite from Dead Cells creators Motion Twin. Additionally, fans looking for a reason to jump into the Vortex can take advantage of a 20% discount on Steam – available until July 9 – as part of the Steam Summer Sale, which begins June 26.
Windblown 's gifting system has been completely revamped, with a number of tweaks and improvements designed to offer more synergies and customization options to Leapers , both in solo and multiplayer matches.
In addition to balancing and optimizing existing builds, this update introduces 17 new gifts that significantly expand the variety and depth of available builds. Also added are 16 Hexed Gifts , powerful modifiers that offer significant benefits at considerable risk. They now feature their own dedicated gear slot, allowing players to experiment and perfect their deadliest builds like never before.
Finally, the update adds a new inventory menu that allows you to view all key items obtained during Vortex Expeditions, making it easier to track your progress and plan future raids.
Along with the revamped gifting system, today's update adds two new weapons for players to discover: the Impactone and the Jar . Those who have explored the Sanctuary biome will recognize the Impactone : a long-range weapon with deliberately slow attacks, capable of unleashing two powerful energy beams via its alter attack.
Jar , on the other hand, is a projectile-based weapon, firing a burst of shots that intensify as the firing chain progresses. Its alter attack launches a large projectile that explodes upon impact, splitting into multiple smaller projectiles to maximize its area of effect damage! Check out the full patch notes for all the details on the update.
This update follows the recent “ From the Leapers ” patch released in May, which added several features requested by the game’s global community.
Windblown 's updates during its Early Access period are based, in part, on community feedback and suggestions, reflecting Motion Twin's philosophy of developing alongside its fans and players. Those who wish to be part of the conversation can join the official Windblown Discord channel to learn more about the game and share their feedback directly with the Motion Twin team, helping to shape Windblown 's development during Early Access and beyond.
